Harv Blain
As with the other consultants at Vallie•Richards•Donovan Consulting, Harv is a seasoned veteran who has fought and won many battles.
Prior to joining us in 1999, Harv was president of Blain Consulting, Inc. for six years, specializing in consulting AC and Top 40 radio. Prior to starting his own company he was Vice-President of Contemporary Radio for another nationally known consultancy.
Leading up to his consulting career, Harv programmed in all market sizes including Chicago, Tulsa OK, Madison WI, and Springfield IL. Harv also has proven himself as an on-air talent and Assistant Program Director at top stations in Detroit.
Harv is our “go to” guy when it comes to Arbitron, calling on his extensive knowledge of Arbitron’s research process, extensive analysis of ratings data, diary editing/crediting procedures, and their software programs.
He is also well known for creating a comprehensive Arbitron ratings analysis called Preference Plus, which has been used extensively in many markets around the country by some of the top groups in the business. Preference Plus is available exclusively through Vallie•Richards•Donovan.
Living in Chicago, Harv is married to his beautiful wife Andrea, has two great sons Brandon and Josh, and the world’s cutest dog with the world’s most jarring howl, Nala.
